Canongate - The Gate
Brief:
Canongate, independent publishers of fiction, commisioned makeUP to art direct and design the fourth isuse of their 'catazine' The Gate, where book catalogue meets magazine. Interviews, feature articles, book reviews, and of course all their latest titles.
They wanted a typographic theme, and the design had to be urban and imaginative, with an overall visual theme running through. Other than that, the brief was open to creative interpreation. And we made the most of it.
